My Story and Approach
As a young mother in my twenties, I was captivated by the profound process of bonding with my baby, and later, by the joys and challenges of parenting my daughter. This personal experience ignited a deep fascination with psychology and the intricate dynamics of human connection.
I developed a passion for understanding my experiences and those of others, which led me to pursue an education focusing on attachment and psychology. While working towards my undergraduate degree, I began working with an attachment research study that provided treatment to support secure relationships between mothers and babies. After pursuing a Master’s degree in Social Work, my career unfolded across various community mental health settings. I gained invaluable experience providing parent-infant therapy, working with children and youth, conducting assessments for teens experiencing suicidality, and providing therapy to adults living with serious mental illness.
Starting my own practice has has given me the freedom to create a therapeutic space that is responsive to clients’ needs. It also allows me to integrate highly effective approaches like play-focused therapy for children, and somatic-oriented work for adults, all within an environment designed to be welcoming for individuals of any age.
I continue to be amazed by the inherent resilience and wisdom in every client I meet, regardless of their age. I feel profoundly honored to support them on their unique journeys toward healing and rediscovering their most authentic selves.
